24×48×3 Pyramid Acoustic Panel — Ships Uncompressed (Free Shipping)

Thicker acoustic treatment for louder sources and larger rooms

$79.99

The 24×48×3″ Pyramid Acoustic Panel provides increased absorption depth for spaces that demand more control, such as drum rooms, rehearsal spaces, and larger studios.

Using the same US-made open-cell foam as our 2″ panels, the additional thickness offers improved low-mid frequency absorption while retaining clarity in the upper range. The pyramid design helps manage reflections without making the room sound overly damped.

Panels ship uncompressed to preserve shape, consistency, and acoustic performance. Ready to mount as soon as they're unpacked. No waiting for foam to recover.

Oversized box rates are normal for foam. Tracking provided.

Product Overview

Product Name: Pyramid Acoustic Foam Panel — Extra Thickness
Panel Size (per panel): 24 in × 48 in × 3 in (61 cm × 122 cm × 7.6 cm)
Coverage Area (per panel): 8 sq. ft. (0.74 m²)

Material & Construction

  • Material: Open-cell polyurethane acoustic foam

  • Density: Approximately 1.4 - 1.6 lb/ft³ (1.5lb/ft³ Average).

  • Color: Charcoal gray

  • Profile / Pattern: Pyramid surface geometry with increased depth for improved absorption

  • Fire Performance: Formulated to meet the intent of California Technical Bulletin 117 (CAL TB 117-2013)

  • Origin: Fabricated in Texas using U.S.-sourced foam materials

Acoustic Characteristics

(Typical for polyurethane acoustic foams of comparable density and thickness)

  • Primary Frequency Range: Mid to upper-low frequencies with stronger midrange control (approximately 250 Hz – 4 kHz)

  • Performance Behavior:

    • Added thickness increases absorption depth

    • Improved low-mid control compared to 2″ panels

    • Maintains clarity without excessive high-frequency deadening

  • Use Case Focus: Designed for larger rooms, louder sound sources, and spaces where additional absorption depth is beneficial

Installation & Handling

  • Mounting Options: Spray adhesive, heavy-duty double-sided tape, hook-and-loop strips, or mechanical supports as needed

  • Weight & Handling: Thicker profile with slightly increased weight; still manageable for wall mounting

  • Reusability: Can be removed and repositioned depending on mounting method used

Typical Applications

Drum rooms, rehearsal spaces, music studios, larger recording rooms, home theaters, and other environments with higher sound pressure levels or greater acoustic challenges.
